The "Baby's Got Back" painting features a lady's backside with wet clothing clinging to her curvy body.
While the artists husband was living in Germany he saw a painting in a gallery of a woman's backside and asked his wife to paint something similar for him. So, she got to work researching the body geometry, taking photos of herself in a similar pose and looking at other female athletes back muscles. Once the research was complete, it was time to bring the painting to life with color. Coming up with the right mixture for the skin tone proved to be an interesting and fun challenge. While painting the draped, gathered and nearly transparent fabric was a treat.
