The artist painted this for her dad because he loved the Andy Griffith Show and his favorite character was Barney Fife. Even though Barney had the best intentions, they always backfired in a spectacularly funny way that kept the artists dad laughing well after the episode was over. For the painting, the artist chose to use a monochromatic pallet using the blue color of her dad’s eye’s.
