Cherie Smittle’s Campfire Nights is an artistic illustration featuring a bear sitting by a campfire roasting marshmallows with the Colorado mountain, West Spanish Peak in the distance. Flames from the campfire merge into a windy night sky filled with stars, and the Man in the Moon, his face glowing softly.
The use of contrasting colors—black, white, yellow, and hints of blue—emphasizes the fantastical and serene atmosphere. The image blends elements of nature, wilderness, and imagination, evoking feelings of tranquility and wonder, as if merging the natural world with the cosmic.

Story: In the Colorado mountains, a bear sat beside his campfire, slowly turning a marshmallow over the flickering flames. The wind began to pick up, whispering through the pine trees and sending glowing embers into the night sky. As the marshmallow turned golden, the bear looked up and noticed the Man in the Moon, his face glowing softly, watching from above with a serene smile.
The wind howled louder, but the bear remained calm. With the warm fire at his side and the moon keeping watch, the wild mountains felt more like home. The bear smiled, content in the stillness, knowing he wasn’t alone under the vast, starry sky.
