The "Howl at the Moon" drawing was completed in 2018 by artist Cherie L. Smittle featuring a Wolf and its paw with a view of Mt. Eva in Colorado.

You can often hear wolves howling in the artists neighborhood, or maybe it's her neighbor's dog which is part wolf.  Regardless, it inspired her drawing.  When completed she felt it was missing something, a mountain range.  Mt. Eva was a perfect match for the shape of the wolf and one of the artists favorite views in the Arapahoe National Forest.  The blessing of seeing this view traveling to or from her cabin is not lost on her.  She loves its symmetry, how the snow settles in its valleys and natures framing of evergreens.  In the spring and fall the Aspen's assert themselves with a beautiful array of colors making the view even more breathtaking.
